How a Ripple Turned into a Tidal Shift with our Franchise Roundtables
My franchisor clients faced chaos. Meanwhile, each solved it differently. Because it was a no-brainer, I brought them together. This sped up learning. Plus, it gave emotional support.
Surprisingly, the invite even included instructions on how to use this thing called “Zoom”! Can you believe that?
Indeed, We’ve come a long way, baby!
Seeing the success of the franchisor roundtables got me thinking. Specifically, could field support teams use this kind of peer-to-peer platform?
So, one quick email and social media post later — and 40 field coaches showed up on Zoom — cameras on, ready to learn from one another. Indeed, the need for community was HUGE!
Looking back, it’s no surprise. As a young field coach in the late ’90s, I needed support. A space to connect with peers would’ve helped. They knew how to handle feisty franchisees and get them to listen. Following brand standards and taking action was tough.
Why a Rising Tide Lifts Us Higher—Every Time
For example, one of the most common things we hear from first-time attendees is how comforting it is to not feel alone.
Validation
Knowing others face similar challenges makes us feel our experiences are normal and it is not a personal failing.
Empowerment
Armed with new action steps and peer support, attendees leave more confident to tackle challenges.

Sharing stories helps. Connecting with others cuts stress from challenges.

Tapping into others’ experiences gives fresh ideas. Strategies and best practices help. Attendees solve challenges fast and skip extra work.
